In order to elicit robust and broad-based participation from community stakeholders, RUW engaged active members of the community to organize and facilitate “hosted meetings.” In all, there were 15 hosted meetings.
Hosted meetings were opportunities for Rappahannock United Way to learn what your friends, neighbors, and community members really care about in the areas of Education, Income, and Health. These group discussions provided a forum for participants to weigh in on issues important to them and voice concerns, opinions, and suggestions about local aspirations.
