Participants rated goals using the following response categories: top priority, important priority but not top priority, less important as a priority, not a priority or no response.
Top priorities in the area of HEALTH so far to date include:
- Improved access to affordable health care for all citizens (68.8%)
- Reduction in number of citizens without healthcare insurance coverage (58.8%)
- Increased awareness among citizens of available health services and programs in the community (52.4%)
- Increased prevalence of immunizations for children in community (42.9%)
- Reduction in teen pregnancies (55.3%)
- Reduction in child abuse (83.5%)
- Reduction in elder/senior abuse (69.4%)
- Increase in health lifestyle choices among citizens in community (46.5%)
- Increased access to quality prenatal care for all pregnant women (55.3%)
- Increased access to quality mental health care for all citizens (51.8%)
- Increased access to programs for prescription medication cost coverage assistance (49.4%)
- Reduction in substance abuse among youths (61.8%)
- Reduction in domestic and/or sexual abuse (67.1%)
- Increased access to healthcare for senior citizens (51.8%)
Six goals received top ratings as an “Important Priority but Not Top Priority.” These were:
- Reduction in obesity among citizens in community (58.2%)
- Increased access to marital and family counseling (50%)
- Reduction in complications from chronic disease in the community (44.1%)
- Increased access to dental care for all citizens (48.2%)
- Reduction in substance abuse among adults (42/4%)
- Increased transportation options to access healthcare (46.5%)
